MOAR SNOWZ.
Feb. 12th, 2008 05:16 pmNow that we're out of the deep freeze (-5 when I woke up at 7:00 this morning), we have more snow to look forward to. 5-9" of wet slushy crud expected late tonight into tomorrow... joy of joys. We all told the boss we're working from home tomorrow, which he had no problem with (too bad if he did...), and the office probably won't be plowed out till late afternoon anyway. I'm not going to get stuck in the driveway again.
Fortunately it's going to be starting late enough that I can make it both to and from fencing tonight. I found some nice, inexpensive ostrich plumes for the spiffy hats Sydney and I got at Birka, and they (and we) will now both look fabulous. :) Now to get the fencing to match the appearance, and I'll be all set! I feel like I've been flailing somewhat ineffectively for about the last month... can I blame it on winter and being out of shape? Yes. That sounds good... heh.
Illumination class is on Thursday, maybe even be able to get there too, since the snow will be gone. I can lay paint on the spiffy (test) scroll I drew last month. Went with exactly what I shouldn't have; insanely complicated (but really pretty!!!) late-period Italian. Oops. Oh well. If I can get this one to look at least close to right, I'll do just fine on the simpler stuff. And mebbe can even play with gold paint... whee!
