Fruity fruity...
Jul. 8th, 2008 06:20 pmAfter weeks and weeks of reading "picked another 6 quarts of strawberries today" from other people, I has a fruit! My very first strawberry! Ripe tomorrow, I think... hopefully I will get it before the birds/chipmunks do.
Garden is happy. I broke down and bought a wooden trellis at work for the cucumbers, as they are most definitely needing support at this point, if I don't want them to eat the rest of the plants. Need to remember to/see if I can put points on the going-into-the-ground ends next year, though. Whatta pain in the neck, and I'm still not terribly satisfied with how deep the stakes went in. Might add some support strings/posts when things get bigger so they don't fall over.
In other news, it is still hot.
