November November
Nov. 10th, 2008 05:50 pmIt smelled like woodsmoke when I walked out to get the mail (my ARPH calender came, still no fuzzie from ebay, though...) this afternoon. November is well and truly here. All the leaves dumped off the pear tree at work in the rain over the weekend, and the ground was dark brown beneath it. I just hope it doesn't turn white too soon.
Demo on Saturday was fun, even if nobody came. Lots of good fencing with Max, Lucien, and Sydney, a little bit of dancing, and a little bit of playing (though I really need to look at my chart more *before* starting songs... G sharp whatnow?) Poured rain all the way back to Maine, did not end up going to the bonfire, but came home and collapsed into sleep. Rachel took some photos, as did Max. I was too busy having fun. Need to repair my bodice before Saturday, as one of the seams let go and I lost the middle piccadille. Whoops. A simple fix, I think...
alexsaintpierre passed along a beautifully calligraphed scroll, all ready to be painted this week. If I can get it done by Sunday, I will be pleased, but I don't think that's going to happen... Not sure. Needs to find its way to 100 Minutes War with *somebody* on the 22nd. I think Molly. Will double check. Very excited about this one. More gold leaf, more gothic, will be very pretty. Going to lay down pencil tonight, permacol tomorrow morning (maybe), gold tomorrow night (if I get the permacol done), then painting starting Wednesday? Maybe.
