So... a complete weather flip from Monday, and yesterday. Nearly 60 degrees at 9:30 this morning, pouring rain, and all the snow from yesterday is way, way gone. Probably the piles (that came from the first "snowstorm" of a quarter inch) at Shaw's are gone too, or close.
This means, though, that I am stuck inside today, reading OSHA regs, watching the sky outside get darker and darker as more clouds roll in, and listening to the rain pound on the patio out the back doors. OSHA regs are not terribly interesting. Argh.
Take the boredom while I can, I suppose, as it's going to get a lot less boring later tonight (yay for flash-freezing ice as the temperature plummets) and tomorrow afternoon into Friday, when the cold front moves in, and all this rain turns into snow. There will be shoveling...
My boss does care about us, though. Offered to buy us pepper spray (and hopefully will) for when we have to shovel in the sketch-o section of Portland. We've both told him that no way no how will we go there by ourselves, either, Mace or no Mace. A plow buddy will come down, and help fend off all the drunks and druggies. Fortunately it should be a quick half hour in-and-out, no matter how much snow we get in a storm. sigh. it's going to be an interesting winter...
