In addition ('cuz I was forgetful before): What was really cool about all this, though, was the whole series of photos I took. The moon really moves a lot in a minute. I fussed with different shutter speeds to try and get the best exposure, and the time between photos is not that much, but in sequence, it's really cool. I will have to try to make a movie, or something...

Could hardly call this a storm... the phone rang at 5 AM (woo! more sleep!), and I headed out to shovel what looked pretty close to a heavy frost. Ugh.

All told, barely a half inch. Enough to scrape/sand/salt, as it was a little slippery. By 9:30 AM, though, the sun was out in full force, and whatever hadn't been scraped quite down to bare ground was melting nicely. (Look, you can see the still green grass in the park through it... a week ago there were 15 inches of the white stuff on the ground...)

Tomorrow we are supposed to get 1-3", hopefully done in time for New Years festivities, or at least show up in Saco in time for midnight... Barring that, I shall bring a bottle of sparkling cider and glasses, and Michelle and I will celebrate in style. Well... at least the cider will be chilled.

What a day. 5 hours of work, shopping done, mail sent, Goodwill stuff dropped off, UPS acquired and hooked up, and we have working lightbulbs in the bathroom and over the stove again. Dishes are all washed (I think, for the moment), livingroom is mostly cleaned up (of my stuff... ahem... [livejournal.com profile] kurlon... pretty please? :) ), laundry being washed and dried (not folded yet...), AND I got to play some of my very own GuitarHero, which has been sorely neglected these past several months (and it shows... guh. RockBand is so much easier...).

Had a grilled cheese sandwich that was way tastier than it deserved to be for lunch, thanks to delicious honey wheat bread that is my annual Christmas gift from our annual plant plug broker. :)

And nearly forgot to mention... Sam, my dear Sam, my wonderful Christmas-Tangerine tree, that had such troubles last winter with losing leaves and looked to be headed in the same direction this year, has not dropped a single solitary leaf in the two weeks he's been sitting in the living room. Amazing what improvements happen when a sub-tropical tree is taken AWAY from a cold, drafty door... *headsmack* duh... He's going to live in the corner of the living room for the rest of the winter, I think. Might even leave the fairy lights on. So pretty.

Annnnnd now I'm going to take a little nap, I thi--zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......
