hm... I suppose it does. :) Good for the gamer set to want to expand their vocabulary. (or their parents, wanting to know what the heck their kids are saying..)
But where exactly are we going with this? I'm definitely no linguist, but if we're going to include words that are "spelled" with numbers in the dictionary, I have some issues with that...
Language and slang change, otherwise we'd still be using words like 'verily' and 'forsooth' in everyday conversation (ok, occasionally I do anyway; I'm silly like that...), but I don't want to see kthxbye! in next year's dictionary.
(along those lines, I guess I should have said "we're d00m3d." ;) )
I think it's awesome but as the guy in the article said, it probably won't last and that is okay too. I am glad that they are recognizing more about the role of technology.
