I haz cucumbers. And tomatoes. nom nom nom. Or more accurately, my neighbors will have cucumbers. And tomatoes. Because they are all going to ripen, I predict, at roughly 6:00 Sunday morning, as soon as the plane takes off. Ah well. There will be more when we return. Along with the fall crop of lettuce. And carrots. And squash. Acorn and Blue Hubbard, whose vines are quickly and unquestionably conquering the veggie patch and creeping into the parking lot at work. I think I'm one of three people at the shop who actually like squash, so there will not be a shortage. mmm. Squash soup.
Before the plane takes off at roughly 6:00 Sunday morning, however, there are dishes to do, and clothes to wash, and an apartment to clean/vacuum, because I don't want to look at it all when we get back in a week. Fun fun fun. Looking forward to the break, though. :) It's a few years since I've been out to WA, and my sweetie got tickets to a Mariner's game for our first anniversary gift! Yaaaay! (even though they have recently kinda decided to stop playing baseball for whatever reason... sigh.) We'll spend at least one day in Seattle itself (yes, Max, we'll make it to FX McRory's this year!), and the rest relaxing and noodling around Kenmore with Grandma. Is can be good.
