Today was a good day.

The visit to the bank this morning was most successful. I now have solid numbers to work with, we are pre-approved for a good chunk of change, I learned my credit rating is practically off the charts (woo!), and it is completely viable for us to look into buying/buy a halfway decent house in the very near future. Makes me happy. Hoping now I can convince [livejournal.com profile] kurlon that an Australian Shepherd puppy is a good idea. :) There's still time.

Got the permacol laid down on the scroll between bank and work today, going to play with gold leaf in a bit (once it's had time to really set, but not too much...). This is going to be a lovely piece, I think. If I have it done and photocopied by next Wednesday, the transfer to my courier will be quite simple, and it will make it to War with no troubles at all (I hope).

We moved all the houseplants from the retail shop to the office today, after giving them a good bath. Stupid spider mites. Rubbing alcohol mixed with dish soap should take care of the little buggers. There are plants all over the office now; it's wonderful. Boss is not terribly happy, but Jess and I were not going to let him just toss them because he's too lazy to take care of them over the winter. I would take some home, if I had any room left, but I think J would have some issues if I stuck them in his motorcycle tires...

It's the little things, too, that make me so happy. Kneaded erasers are fun. Squooshy. And available, amazingly, at WalMart. So glad to not have made a wasted trip, through rain and fog and holiday music (arrrgh. Thanksgiving first, pls?). Success, and a three-pak of smooshy gray erasers.

Puppies = good idea;

Puppies also = responsibilities and time commitments.

Congrats on house. There is one on our street for sale (I think) and another that is lying vacant.

There is also one almost across the street from Jamin and Noelle.

Definitely agreed on the first two points. Puppy is a ways off, I think, but will happen. :) I hope.

We're working on narrowing down towns to search in (no Baldwin, no Sebago), hoping to find something between Windham and Biddeford so each one of us has a reasonable commute time. I can do the commute from Jamin & Noelle's, but it gets hard after day 6 of waking up at 6:30 to be out of the house by 7... me=not a morning person...

If Vincent and I manage to take care of a puppy, I think you can do it. ;)

But you realize this may result in wild Zwei/Frodo/newpuppy threesomes, especially if the house you find happens to be closer to us. Australian Shepherds need lots and lots of exercise, after all. Muahahahah!

And about the house, good on you for the successful bank visit. If you're going to be looking for a realtor, hit Vincent up for info on the guy who helped us...he was wicked awesome, laid back and easy to talk to.

Hmm... hyper puppy trifecta. :) I like this.

There will be kittehs first, to see if I can handle them (I think I can... once I get my allergies sorted out. Ugh.). THEN puppy. :) Puppypuppypuppy!

J has been working with a realtor for a bit, but I will definitely bug you two if we need other leads!
