Chilly day

Putting the plants down (blam! ok no...) for winter today, tomorrow, and part of Thursday. It is quite cold out when the sun goes down and the wind picks up. Teatime at 3:30 was most welcome, though the boss did pick that particular moment to return to the nursery and ask what the heck we were doing. Timing... Plants are heavy. Lots of rain was good, because it means they are all well hydrated and will freeze nice and solid through winter, but owwww... I have muscles I didn't know I had, and my fingertips are none too pleased with me.
I get to make my first and (I think) only Christmas wreath tomorrow. An escape from the nursery for a few hours to go talk at a bunch of little old ladies at a garden club. I did a talk for them last year, and they wanted me back again, so I guess I did something right. Ah, me public...
House hunting is progressing. My boss is keeping an eye out for us (mostly in Windham... to keep me close, I'm sure. We'll see about that...), and I found a few potentials in last Sunday's paper. Two of them in our price range are right near lakes, which makes me happy. The little (LITTLE. TINY. 650 sq ft) house next door is for sale again; $150K. For 650 square feet of living space (but with full, unfinished basement). TINY. Wicked cute, moving would be a snap, but no...
Now is time for hot shower, then maybe fencing practice. Depends if I can move afterward or not. I am so very out of shape. I will have to head over, at least to drop off the scroll so it can make its way to War.
