ninian_vesalius starts picking up drums.
Hooray foralexsaintpierre's XBox not exploding, and restarting ok when the partial Red Ring of Deathy Doom appeared at the beginning of the evening. Hooray for alexsaintpierre's awesome drumming of awesomeness, and valkyrie1972's singing, even when she didn't know the words, and for anna_mickel's groovy bass playing. Rawk.
Played some more songs on Expert, and did not fail. Found I still have issues with the movements that I have had issues with all along. I just cannot figure out fast 1 to 1-3 switches... argh. Got my first 100% on a song on hard difficulty (that I probably could have done on expert...), and made it through the entirety of 'Behind Blue Eyes' on hard. I have never made it past the beginning, stupid finger-pick acoustic section. HA! Thwarted! I am teh winnar! Mypet_spider was there with me in spirit, if not in person. ;)
Was awakened earlier than I wanted to be by the melodious sounds of a... snowblower? snowmobile? something engine-based and LOUD, anyway, being revved and re-revved, for a good half hour. Wasn'tkurlon on a motorcycle, as he was still asleep, could have been the landlord, I suppose, but he should go wake up his own neighbors in that case, dangit (ok, so it was 9:30, and most normal people would have been awake anyway, but that's besides the point). Ok, not the landlord (he wouldn't do something like that, not unless there was a *really* good reason. Somebody around here (probably across the fence) has, according to kurlon, a snowmobile that has been improperly stored, clogged jets in the enginey bits, and they are trying to fix it by revving it, and thereby "blowing the clog out". This apparently will only serve to wreck the engine, which is fine by me, because it means I'll get the full amount of sleep I feel I'm entitled to on my weekends. GAH.
On a sad note, send love tofrothgar and evensongs_fall, as their kitty Magic has gone out of their lives. She was a tiny black kitty, so talkative, so snuggly, so sweet (not without her problems, but who among us is perfect?), and she never once ate my plants when we all lived together... Always good for a lap pillow... we will miss her.
