As expected, the phone rang early this morning. 4 AM. Been awake (kinda) ever since. Shoveled lots. Driven all over creation (got turned around and had a nice tour of Cumberland. Whoops) several times. Did NOT have to go back to LL Bean and shovel again, because I did it right the first time (do not need a snowblower for an inch of powdery snow, thank you. I'm fine with a shovel.). Had my salt-flinging technique criticized by my boss (ARGH. BUGGER OFF. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW THE SALT GETS ON THE SIDEWALK, AS LONG AS IT GETS THERE. I did the entirety of LL Bean without help this morning, so leave me alone!), and at last was given the OK to come home and sleep (poor landscape guys can't... they are still driving around in the plow trucks... :( ). This I will do. Soon. Must move truck so landlord can plow parking lot.

And with this storm, the inconveniences start to pile up. Snow removal tonight means no singing practice/creativity night/RockBand for me. Nor'Easter on Friday means no going to the Burlesque. Possible snow on Sunday means probably rescheduling lunch/socialness with a very dear friend whom I have not seen in a year. With my luck, it's going to snow Christmas Eve. Do I say "screw this", and go home anyway, and come back to no job? Tempting... but not going to happen. That's not what I do...

Sleep now. 4 hours last night +30 minute nap between drive trips = exhausted, cranky, on-the-verge-of-tears Camille.

The snow is pretty, from inside, with a cup of tea.

aww... poor lady, they work you so hard. I hope you can get some solid warm rest before they chase you back out into the wilds.

thanks... there was some rest... and more shoveling. Done now. Sleep time (as the adrenaline and 'go go go go go!' is wearing off.
